I keep these nice ants, I can help you

They like classic honey/sugarwatter but they must have also normal watter for drinking. They are nesting in wood, in old sticks and branches, but they need to have somethink making highier humidity near their nest, my colony´s nest in branch is few milimetres from opened test tube and they have also some sticks in ,,arena" also.. They preffer moving on sticks, leafs and wood, but they will also go onto floor. They like sunbathing and if you will give them heating bulb, they will start to be active and etc. I feed my colony by Drosophila spec., bigger species of fruit flyies than is the biggest know used for feeding, D. hydei... I´m usually putting them the fly in a front of the nest entrace and they bring it into.... Their keeping is trouble free, they need just enough temperature about 25°C, air humidity around 50%, insect and different types of water for their own choose.
I have my colony in small plastic box from ice-cream Carte Dor with some branches, their own nest branch and plastic dishes for feed and they are quite happy. I will make them bigger formicarium just when they will grow up.
Interesting on this ants is, that their majors have the same size of cephalus as is the nest entrace. In danger and if it´s needful can major block the entrace and I´ve read in one book, that in nature you will examine it and wont find the entrace
I´ve also read that in nature, in South America, they preffer sunny opened places and peripheries of forests, which are called ,,Picadas", in Brazil.
Queen is about 10 or 11mm, ants are polymorph with majors, minors and medium castes
