ANTSTORE World of Ants

I went into my bathroom earlier and a load of Lasius Niger were all over my mouthwash bottle! What could possibly be in the mouthwash that they are eating? I use Listerine, its got a load of Alcohol in it but surely its not good for the colony to be feeding on mouthwash! I can hardly hold it in my mouth for 30 secs yet these ants are getting fat on it. Any ideas?

I'm sure its the alcohol, ants do like drinking it and get drunk on it, I don't know what effect mouthwash would have, hopefully they'll be alright, do keep an eye on them though.

No idea. They probably see it as a sourch of water. (i would think) But i'm sure its not healty for them.

were is your set and how did they get all the way in there? lol i never thought that they would drink listerine, that stuff burns.

They came from outside in the garden, through the window because it was left open overnight. It does burn but they seemed to like it.
