Hello marcelant and welcome.

You need to put the sand/loam mix into the setup, connect the setup to the out world. put the ants into the out world (tube with ants) and they will find there way to the setup. Feed them sweets (honey, sugar water) and insects. (feel free to read around the forum a bit. ;) )

Good luck.

good good... Meal worms tho do not have lots of protein, they have a lof of fat. Try finding them some more bugs to eat from the garden.. spiders are good :)

well im not 100% but they wont be gettin the protein they need for the larvae to grow.. so i guess you'd get either a VERY slow developing colony.. or they would die out.. Thats if they was just fed high fat bugs of course... and i am just guessin here lol.. And yes id have thought that flies have good protein. But something like crickets are the best.. as you get to keep them and feed them before you give them to your ants.. so you know what goes into the bugs... And if your feeding your bugs on high protein then your ants get good protein. :D
