Alright I just put my ytong in a basin and my lasius flavus colony with around 200 workers has about 10 ants or more in there and lots of ants outside and now as I saw I can see some ants running around and they can get out of there chambers by just walking i pushed it down hard and still they can run to the sides and that:S what can I do ???

They cant run completely out of the ytong. So what im going to do is put a light so they dont nest in the ytong and hope they nest back in there test tube and then im going to get the ytong out and get the glass of and stick it down real hard ;)

Ok I have removed the glass yesterday and I put alot of sillicone on it and i blocked where they can run to so they can stay in the chambers and the tunnels only... But now I have a problem the ants have nested in the plastic tube that is lead to the ytong and there right near the hole where they can go into the ytong but there not not even one ant goes in there... I have been keeping it moist. Is it because the sillicone stinks and they dont want to go near it and they will end up moving when the smell is gone?

Update They have been annoying me so I put a lamp in the tank but not touching the floor it like hangs and it lights up the whole tank except from the bit I covered up which is the ytong and I have seen some workers going into the ytong to check it out :) But im worrying about the lamp as it is getting hot and it will make the tank hotter so i am going to take it out once and a while
