Heh, yeah, I seen the Monterey vid`s. No-one plays it like Jimi:) But the one bit of live stuff that blew me away more than anything else has to be Joe Cocker singing "with a little help from my friends" at Woodstock. I don`t like many covers, but jesus, if your gonna play infront of 500,000+ people, that clip is the ultimate definition of giving it your all...

@ antdude, I don`t like all this rap music, find it hard to relate to as I`m not an American drug dealer with a bouncy car living in the ghetto nor do I aspire to be one. Where I live, near London, It seems all the school kids speak with a Gangsta twang and to be honest if they were my kids i`d give them a good slap and educate them on their own british cultural identity rather than have them buy into this American, "get rich or die trying", aimed at gullible kids, street cool, gangsta crap ... No offence but this is a subject that does really annoy me.. Love and peace man!!

ur very right Ashton, i find the matrialistic and selfcentred attitudes of rappers very repulsive, its very sad that they promote a life style that is as much a fantasy as fairys and goblins.....the simple fact is, that gang culture destroys communities, it doesnt make you cool, or rich, or more sexually attractive, and yet they are trying to convince the world that it does, I can only assume they do this to drag people down to their own level, so they dont feel so bad about life....

I so had to laugh when i read those lines. Usualy im the one freakin out about that "low character music". Problem in my eyes is, noone points out crap as what it is. Seriously, how can ANYone be allowed to make money by behaving outstandingly bad? But then again, theyd sell bullcrap in cans if anyone was willing to pay for it.

TBH.. i dont really like rap myself.. im more of an easy listening type thing.. dont mind a bit of hardcore now n agian.. bit of R&B.. reggie is all good.. and i even like a bit of classical.. im very broad lol.. but def dont like rap lol

lol okay, dont matter anyway.classical music thats one i havent herd of yet, who u in too mozart,beethoven or somthing or does it just differ with u. i mean classical is good for mind and soul lol, but seriouly i think i should listen too. more often as all this rap and that livens me up and gets me all aggresive so hopefully i try classical it may make me carm or somthing lol

OK here goes i am an 80's guy, so im stuck in the whole 80's time warp...! tho in my life i have had varied interests, i used to be a punk/goth but also liked the whole pop/rock new romantic thing, so i liked punk/goth/alternative sounds, suixi and the banshees, the damned, to name but 2 that some of you might have heard of, lol indeed i remember one particular evening down the local punk/goth/rock club, there was a disco themed night before the alternative music slot at 9pm, a bunch of us arrived a little early, all dressed in black with chains,buckles mowhawks etc, it was around the time of that annoying number 1 song.."SATURDAY NIGHT" (anyone recall?) well anyways, it was the last song played, and so for a luagh we decided we would show these cute and i use the word loosly "normal" poeple that we could dance as well them, inspite of how we looked..!! it was very funny, picture it, a bunch of 6 or 7 punk/goths doin the "saturday night" song dance moves..!! ohh the memories...... however in my older age, i find myself liking lots of differnt music and artists, i like jazz/swing/opera/classical, i love sarah brightman, and kate bush, but i equally love kylie...... 60's, 70's i love all those eras too.... but i do not like rap... (unless betty boo counts........Its me again yes how did you guess, cuz the last time you were realy impressed, but im bolder, cccold getting colder,and at the very same time i heat up at the party and smoulder...but not with solar power, for far too long made mistakes and aloud a fat and ugly thing get in my way, but im suitably an MC, im no in between, top of the rank like pearl and dean, and if you cant take the heat get outta the kitchen i aint got no time for your boo boo beat, betty boo, betty boo is doin the do....and you are thru, cuz theres nothing you can do.....) lol sorry guys gotta lil carried away there..!!
