i agree. the problem is that i would need controlled humidity without things rottening/ avoid mould etc. good controlsystem for heat mats (i have access to this) good realistic suitable ground substrate.
in reality what i need is a fully funtional micro eco-system which can counteract all these thing by its own, and thats relatively hard to produce i think, but not impossible. if a specie needs "tropical rainforest enviroment" (like 80%+humidity, they are very picky about nests, food etc) i think its too much work. at least for me, however i could easily manage any euro specie, now i have narrowed my choices down to Cataglyphis rosenhaueri/velox ( i like the red colour) and Sanguinea.
