No, its a logic chart, eg...

Number of Nodes > 1 (goto section 1) > 2 (goto section 2)

Section 1, How many antenna segmants does it have? greater than 10 (goto section3) less than 10 (goto section4)

etc etc untill u end up with the species at the last section :)

they often look somthing like this...

Do you want one flow chart for every Formicidae's species, or do you want chart for any genera?

I've found some of this chart only for single genera, i don't think there is a general identification table for all ants...

some genera is a start :D please do post the links!

I want the whole Formicidae family eventually, but i dont htink there is such a chart, so I will compile one out of as much info as I can :)

I've managed to get a list of 12,000+ species...lol I thought 8,800 species wuld be hard, but got to start somewhere i guess!

All ant species are 12156 today. :) On antbase.org, there is the exact number of species every day.

In Hyperlinks sind nur für registrierte Nutzer sichtbar, there is a flow chart for every genera. In "ants of africa" too are there some of those. But these are simple and without schemes.

I've found more illustrated flow charts on Hyperlinks sind nur für registrierte Nutzer sichtbar, "a key of camponotus mayr of Australia". You could to inspire you to those to compile your papers.

also I have tried to compile some identification tables, for my issue "taxonomic mirmecology" that I 'm putting on, but I have not succeeded so much good there. :(
