Im having lots of trouble finding Ytong material I popped along to a few DIY stores and they had no idea what I was talking about. Is it ever called anything else?

freedom, its concrete that - i think - was produced under high pressure while supplying air. hence you get a "spongy" material thats extremely leightweighted, saves a lot of material and has very good isolating characteristics. I wouldnt know the english name for it though, probably the description might help you find out more ?
As Gorilla displayed, it can also be easily carved by any tool more stable then a plastic knife.

Over here there better know as areated concrete blocks mate I have used them my self I got mine from wicks for about 90p a block, but prefer Plater of parisyou get much cleaner results.


This is a set up I made inside a tank using finnishing plaster a while back.
