Hi all, I would try a queen adoption, because queen dies and leave alone a colonie of 50+ workers 4 soldat and tons of brood, I know one method but I never had the chance to try it.

I know that to put the colony and the new queen in the neutral territory, first put colony and after over the new queen, in the caos, the colony would be after some light agressive beahvior, adopting the queen.

This method is quite risky because the queen could be killed....

The species is Pheidole pallidula...

If u know other more effective methods, or tips, tricks, risk etc etc...please give me some information and help.

Its always a risk, keep that in mind.

Some cool down the colony (like they would be in hibernation) and than add the new queen.

Ore you can put a few workers with the queen (starting with one) and see if she accept them than add a few more and if they accept her (like about 20 workers or so) you can put them all in to the old colony.

Thanks but I have preferred to abdicate, it is risky, and useless, I have another colony with queen I will go on with that.

I would personally give the new queen the old brood which she would adopt. The obselote workers could then be used to feed the new colony.
