er my garage is only about 4°c higher that outside most of the time and my fridge is about 2-5° c also they are still in the test tube.

thats fine as long as the temp outside is <6C ;) the UK frequently has temps of 10C even in winter

If they are still in a tube and it is possible for you to keep them in the fridge it not bad to keep them there. If not you can still keep them in your garage, as long if it does not get more than 10°c in there. ;)

ok.. what temp can ants go down to?? i mean most ppl have there fridge just above freezing at like 2°c Would that be harmfull?

2°C is a little bit close to the minimum temperature. But i believe they can handle that temperature.
I dont really know the minimum temperature, but i believe its 0°. But dont want say thats to 100% true ;)
Believe Jimmy can say much more better things about that ^^

@ Purifier: i shall do my best ;)

They can survive temperatures from about +-2°c if not to long a bit lower to. In nature they can survive temperature far below 0°c but than they are underneath the ground and there it is a bit warmer. Also in nature the ground warms up when the sun is shining. (if you understand what i'm saying ;) )

Also this depends from species to species. Exotic species are used to a higher temperature so they will not survive low temperatures.
