Help Moving Ants

Beitragvon SteveUK28 » 9. Nov 2009 13:11

Hey guys,

Ok so i have a problem, i have 2 lots of ants in the same tank. Camponotus substitutus and a Creamtogaster spec. Now the crems are seriously taking over now i mean there is thousands off them.. and i would dearly love to get the Camp. subs. out... The only problem here being they have made a nest underground somewhere.. So my question is... How on earth can i get them out to rehome them without disturbing them or the other colony?? I have no ideas myself so please.. no matter how daft your idea might sound please share it with me... Thanks in advance.. and i hope everyones ants are doing great :D

I think there is only the way to offer them a new home and make them their old nest unconfortable.
If you dig them out they might die....

i dont have any other ideas ... sorry

Maybe you can give them a new nest, but make the conection so small that only your crematogasters can go thourgh it so you substitutus need to stay behind. If you know what i mean :D.

Jezus, why in the world would you put Crematogaster spp. together with any other specie at all?
