my Camponotus ligniperda queen is acting strange it can't get its self upright when its upside down doesn't respond when i blow it or tap the testube ive put it in another testube now to keep an eye on it and its just sitting there curled up opening an closing its mouth

ive ordered a replacement queen its a shame really as ive just gotten 2 new workers :(

A similar thing happened to my Camponotus ligniperda queen when I just took her out of hibernation. She hardly moved and wouldn't respond to heat or food then died.

she's almost dead she's now on her back and only her front legs move a little bit


edit: im going to try and merge the remaining workers and lava with the new queen ive ordered

With the brood it should work out just fine. The workers its a little bit harder. Good luck.

yes it is a shame, my new queen is doing great now.. think i have 7 workers and a pile of brood :D
These ants def work better in a ytong.
