1. how long will the food/water last for in the tube they come in?
2. how long does the the average lasius niger ant live for?
3. would egg be good to feed the queen?, its got lots of proteen in.
4. do ants feel pain?

Pain is a highly subjective sensation, as ants respond to danger, and damage to their body, you could say they feel pain
