Well these ants are best kept in a sand/loam farm. You also can keep them in a y-tong but don't forget they dig trough y-tong so you need to make it that they can not escape out of there.

Best to heat up 1/3 from the nest area (and maybe a heat spot in the out world). This way they can go and nest to the heat mat but if it gets to hot they can move to a cooler place.

These ants are masters in escaping, small and strong jaws. Keep that in mind when you are building them a farm. ;)
Also make sure to keep the nest moist, when it gets to dry the die quick.

Good luck.

i was gonna get this
shop/product_info.php/info/p1260%7B8%7D26_Glass-farm-basin-40x30x20-cm.html/XTCsid/4b525efb0b05ccc73c788bae86d1a75f
and
shop/product_info.php?cPath=25&products_id=1248

with a layer of ptfe around the edges and when they big enough expand with a new one

would this be sufficient in stopping them getting out ? also if putting heat spot in how can i with lid on ?

You could use that.
I would also recommend this
shop/product_info.php/info/p510_seal-adhesive-tape-1m-x-1cm.html
you can put that under the lid so it closes perfect.

PTFE is also recommend, specially when the colony is bigger and you need to feed them.

You can use a heat lamp, just place it above the lid (not to close) so it gives the heating from above the farm. (Like the sun :) )
Don't forget to put a thermometer in there, so you can check it will not get to hot in there. If possible use a thermostat to. So it controls the heat.

Good luck with it. If the queens stick together at first there still may be a danger that the weaker queen will be killed later.

My colony also has 2 queens but i received them together, didn't do that myself. It still works out now. (but they are in a sand nest so i can not say it for sure, didn't find a dead queen so far so i think she is okay)
Like Steve said, he tried it himself and it didn't work out.
This species is not very strong Polygyn. So it is always a risk.
