When the ants come do you put them in the fridge for 10 mins right away and then put them into your ant farm or something or do you wait a while and if so how long ?

i think he means to makes the ants cold, but there not cold blooded . wont make them move slower! this place the test tube the ants come in in the basin of the ant farm, and then let them do there own thing!

Well I saw on websites when you get the ants you put them in fridge for 10 mins to put them to sleep and then put them in ant farm?

I don´t getting ants to fridge ,I don´t need when they move slower ,I normally take test tube ,open it and connect to gummy tube (enter to nest) and they slowly transfer the queen and cocoons with larva into formicarium. You must cover formicarium - there must be dark. Ants don´t like light and like I wrote ,they will to transfer all colony to formicarium. But you must do it all with care.

Well I have an ant world thing it says the lasius niger are quite happy to stay there but dunno with a queen:s

Im going to put my lasius niger in ant world its an ok size for the start i think...
And im getting tomorrow this ant thing its an ant world and something else so alot bigger and it will be for my other ants since this species can have alot of queens and they come with more ants which means the more queens the more eggs they produce?

I think ,your question is - "when I get more queens ,I will be more eggs?" ,hehe ,no. Lasius niger is monogyn ant spec and it is mean ,it normally have only 1 queen in nest. When you get second queen into nest ,queens go to fight ,one or all two will die. Some ant spec are Polygyn and this mean ,they can to have more queens ,like Myrmica rubra.

Yes so more queens the more they lay like myrmica rubra will lay more eggs or not or will they like take it in turns lol

I know lasius niger have one queen I meant how many eggs does she lay like daily does she only lay one a day or a few more?

It is all by like is she old and how big is colony. When is colony small and have more food ,she can in static period lay >5/10 eggs per day ,when she is in big colony (cca 10000 workers) ,she can lay to 100 eggs per day in static period. In between static periods she don´t laying eggs. But it is only your skills ,how many food they have ,temperature ,humidity. The biggest produce of eggs of Lniger is now ,in May ,June ,when in nature she laying eggs ,who became workers.

Yes ,you can try anythink what ants normally doing in nature ,no more experience at start ,you can kill them --- only eiyh care

Well I just found out what queen lasius niger ants look like:S I had about 40 outside my last house and with no wings and my sister was killing them I thought they were like normal bugs now i find there queens lol omg:P

And before that house I lived in the backgarden it was either the mating thing or a massive war the whole backgarden and tiles and when you moved they just landed on you there was so many flying ants it looked like they were fighting and were different colours lol strange:P

About that, i think you have it wrong. The only reason people put there ants (if it is possible) in the fridge is to give them a start for hibernation. Otherwise there is no reason to do that.

Flying ants are queens and males, the fly in the sky to mate and than the males die and the queens drop on the ground and get rid of there wings. If you can catch one than she is going to start a new colony. Normally she would dig herself in the ground and start a colony there.
