When it comes to mating what is the best way to capture queens is there a method or is it just wait look for one and grab it??

Basically just that. Wait for the right time, and "grab" one. Use an exhaustor, or just let it run into a small box, to not harm it.

I pick them up if they are walking around on the ground (looking for a place to hide) most of the time i just let them walk in a small box and then put them in to a tube.
Make sure you don't harm them.

here u can find a table with several swarming times... hope it´s the right phrase.

it´s a pitty it´s only in german but i guess it´ll be understandable.

Most species in the late afternoon till the early evening.

Maybe, my girlfriend thinks that i have enough colony's now.
(16 and 13 differed species) but if i have a chance I'm going to capture one (doesn't really matter witch species)
