can anyone give sugestions on what to feed my ants they love fly's .

any kind of bugs from the garden really, just make sure you chuck them into some boiling water for a few seconds first to kill any bacteria that may be on them. You could also try things like Ham and Tuna. Mine like just about anything, even cat n dog food.

i got some roaches a while back (to replace my crickets) and they love 'em, but i also feed locust, mealworms and their pupa, wax worm + pupa in other words any bug/insect that you can get or find.

Spiders are higher in protein then normal insects, I have found so its best to use as many of these as possible. Meat is ok too, for example I have found that my Polyrhacis dives eat minced raw beef, but not raw chicken. Also beef seems to be higher in protein then crickets too.

My formica serv eat beef, but not all species like myrmica eat it, but my Lasius niger eat it, so I suggest just experiment.

Whoops, sorry SteveUK I accidently posted too many same messages, it wasn't my fault, the system wouldn't work and I keep pressing post with it not working then finally it did work and there were many messages, but like you suggested, I'll be more careful. PS I usually don't have much time to post messages as I'm on a library computer.
