I want to acquire an ant´s farm with ants and queen.
I´d like you to help me to choose the suitable species so that they
live the greater possible time.
I live in Madrid, so that you become an idea of weather, etc.
I would please advised to the suitable container and the complements
to me to have an exceptional farm ants too.
How do you send me the ants to Spain? You include the queen; is it
true?

Hello chanquete and welcome here by ANTSTORE,

We ALLWAYS send a complete colony - this includes in every case a queen. The sending of the ants is normaly per DHL or GLS. If you want you can choose express or shipping per dispatch department - but this is more expensive.

Now to your main question: Many thing in holding ants are a matter of taste - so I can´t say what you like even give you some questions to get forward:

1) ant specie
Look at the shop side and choose a kind of specie with the level "for beginners" and hazard class 1 or 2.

2) Then ask you what kind of nest do you want? Do you want to have a look inside of the nest to watch their activities in it? If you answered with yes you can choose between the antfarm (standard or deluxe), Formicarium Highland (for greater ants) or an gas-aerated concrete-nest.

Just tell me which kind is in your matter of taste and which ant species are in your inner choise, then I could help you better.

I´d like to buy Pheidologeton diversus colony.

Please, tell me which antfarm model of your shop you advise me to buy.
I want to have a look inside of the nest to watch their activities in it.


I´d like to know what accesories you think i need to built the best antfarm for this species.

May you explain haw to built the farm´s inside?

I hope that you a not a beginner, because to hold Pheidologeton diversus its better to have some expirience. Please take a look into the shop-description of this specie - there you found some informations to give these ants the correct conditions. The needed accessoriers are also listed in the description.

I would recommend you an glas basin, where the ants can digg into the soil (the best way to keep them appropriate to the specie). May ant keepers have them into a ytong nest, thats not so appropriate to the specie but like the others reported it will work.
