I think, a big problem is the brittleness of the formicarium. The nice airport- and postmens aren't very careful with the packets. But let us wait for an answer of the team from Antstore...I think they know, what the best for you.

Shipping to Canada ?

Thanks for your compliment to the formicarien. However, I must say to you, that we carry out a dispatch only within Europe. The forwarding expenses to Canada would be also very, very high and then is there the problem, which delirium has already described.

What about an acrylic formicarium? If they don't ship to Canada, I will. I would purchase any formicarium (except the glas-made ones), and send it to you, if you pay the expences + an extra fee

I have a fraternity-mate in Alberta, I could send it to him, if he got it, you transfer the money and he'll post it further to you. Ain't that an offer?

I've just checked with DHL (german parcel delivery service) and they charge 72,- Euros for a service like that.

I think you're right and Uta was right; it certainly is very expensive to sell to Canada from here. But you have to stay in contact here in the forum, we have a lot of members who speak english very well and some do fairly well, like me.

Not to mention that our Canadian dollar is less than a Euro. With conversion it makes the price about $100 Canadian. That's crazy for a fromicarium at any quality. But I thank you for all the thought you put forth to try and make it work. I plan on sticking around the forum, it has a very welcoming feeling to it.
