Dear Friends! Our Server crashed, and all data from last week (01.12.2004 to 07.12.2004) work was deleted. I found some posts in my temporary internet files. You can find a copy here.

Hi
I'm planing on building a ant farm and I was wondering about the Ytong stuff,it seems ideal, but i cant find it at least by that name here in Finland.
We do have something called Siporex,a very light wieght material, comes in bricks(biggest is 300*300*500mm I think) but you can get it in big flat bloks also(about 1200*2000*100mm).I think its pumpt up with cemicals,I have worked with it at building sites, and you'r skinn gets irritated after a days work without gloves.
So, I'm wondering if it still is the same material as ytong, just different name, maybe it's not harmful to the ants, they are rougher animals than us...
Siporex is also very waterabsorbent, if a brick got left in the rain it could wiegh 4 or more time's the original wieght, that I DO REMEMBER

.
Well, hope some one could help me with this problem of mine, dont want to put my beautyful queen in to a bad home.
Thanks all,and great forum!
