[quote]Jimmyve: I told you over MSN Steve has been nothing but rude to me. He seems to hate me for mistakes I made when I was 13. Back then I didn't know what I was doing and I lost many of my colonies. I've learned a lot over the years and now I'm better at ant keeping. I'm not going to keep defending myself for things that happened nine years ago. I don't talk to him on MSN anymore because all he does it berate me. If he continues to be hostile on the forums I will go to the moderators. I won't be bullied for no reason.[quote]

how it possible too loose loads of colonies tho??? i have only lost 1 queen and 1 colony since keeping ants when first started i was 7 years old!!! and my queen died cos she had loads of mites in her test tube when i got her, so acshely i have only lost one really.....

[-o< This post should end here, it is not for us to judge on matters that are now gone and past, we all learn from our mistakes,
No one gets a queen with the sole intent of letting her or her colony die.

I'm sure I do not need to remind you, We are all here to help and support each other........ :discus01:

Militant.. if you took what i said the wrong way then i apologise.. I was.. and have just been saying to you that rather than going after a hard spec like leaf cutters perhaps you should keep some nice easy camp spec. Peace. :D

Thanks to those who left kind words. I really wanted the Queen to survive. This was my first attempt at keeping an exotic species and I really wanted it to work out. I can't stay upset for long, I have my two other colonies to care for and nothing I do can bring my acromyrmex queen back.

I almost closed this thread, but i'm glad you guys worked it out so i leave it open. ;)

It is always possible to lose ants (queens) I don't think (i hope) the people visiting here do this intentional. It is hard to tell how much experience someone has, still its hard to switch to exotic ants.
Good luck with your ants Militant.

And like i said, try to keep it friendly here so i don't need to delete your posts. ;) Thanks

No pics, unfortunately. I only have a webcamera and not a digital camera. I hope to get one soon.
