Yes, There is around 10.. came with them Jimmy, they have a fair few eggs too.. but its hard to see how many as the tube they came in is yellow.. I have got them in a little tank with a nice new big test tube, hopefully they will move out and into that. However im noticing some strange behaviour already.. They seem to not like light that much lol at night they seem to come out and look about a bit and drink an eat... but come daytime when i open my curtains they all go back into the tube.. mostly all huddled togther in one group.. Ant ideas why they might be doing this??

maybe they prefer fraging at night lol.......(dont know anything bout this species tho lol so i'm probley completely mis understood your question or somthink :P )

but anyway some ants like lasuis flavus do this...as they normally foraging underground where it is dark and hardely ever normally come out during the day.....so they forage at night as they huddle up like u say when its light when in a testube etc.....but if it is quite dark an i suddenly turn the light on say,i can see bout 3 foraging.but then they rush back to where the queen an all that are an go all togher.........but anyway its not unsual as some ants are like this....

Well there is a simple explanation for it; They are night ants ! ;)
They live at night. Don't worry if they colony gets bigger they will come out at daytime to. My colony is about 100 workers (i think) and if i feed them fly's (living) they come out and hunt, 10-15 workers and majors. (you can see some pictures of it on the dutch part of the forum.)
