How big (length) is these kind of ant? On the pictures they should be around 10mm +/-

Yes, Manica workers are ca.10 mm long, queen ca. 12. Look like oversized Myrmica, they're the largest Myrmicinae ants living in central Europe.

Ohh very nice pics Skippy... I think if u was to sell these ants in sping.. i would def want 3 queens.. am i right in saying that these species with 3 queens in a colony equal the same kinda groth rate as L.Niger??

I have had a few problems with this colony, the bird feeder (that i use to give water) was flooded and a few of the workers died so the colony is smaller now. There is a lot of new brood so i hope they will recover soon.

My colony is also good , my friend keep it now I get him it because I have not time for ants now ... Manica rubida is very good ant and if do you have a lot queens there , colony can recover very quickly , but you must keep them in optimal formicarium (humidity , temp...) and feed a lot of time per week
