ANTSTORE World of Ants

Because we need help ASAP, I crossposted this topic.

Our German is really sheisse so I'll keep it in English.

Recently we did some research on ants for a school project. One of our experiments was the switching of a queen. What we did was we switched queens of two, young colonies purchased on antstore.de.

After two days the queens were fully accepted. As we were expecting the queens would be attacked, we were quite surprised. We need to write a big report before graduating grammar school this year, before Friday (!).

Can anyone enlighten us asap with this experience?

Forgot to mention; we researched the lasius niger.

ich nehme mir die freiheit das mal kurz auszudeutschen, weil mich die antwort auch selbst interessiert:

also die leute haben 2 lasius niger kolonien bei antstore.de gekauft und im rahmen eines schul-projektes die königinnen der beiden kolonien vertauscht. es wurde erwartet, dass die königinnen angegriffen werden, interessanterweise wurden beide aber innerhalb von 2 tagen von der "neuen" kolonie akzeptiert - und jetzt will man wissen wie das möglich ist.
