because it is easier for me to collect some lasius niger brood or mymica rubra brood than have to send the formica fusca to me and i don't know anyone within the areas that this species live

@sithmaster676:not true at all,as i live near u and there is fusca in lowestoft, thetford, sides of moter ways, cantley etc as i have seen with my own eyes.ever fault of trying your nearest forest out? thats where fusca would be being a WOOD ANT an all! try 'thetford forest' in spring or somthink its covered with f.fusca species everywhere, they can be so big aswell bigger than niger queens even!!! theres also quite a lot of othere species there too

by the way in the maiting flights theres loads of different species there evn f.rufrabies but mostly fusca
i can send u cocoons if u would like next year sometime? just hit me with a pm if u want some fusca.
before i have seen colony of like 4-5 queens in the same nest so......
