Just a bit of a rant.

It really annoys me when you agree to trade with another member on this Forum in good faith, only to find out that this person probably never had a colony to exchange in the first place and from the start was going to receive your colony and not send you the exchange colony. Deception!

Anybody else had similar experiences?

Dont trade with inactive or new registered users. If you have to make up your mind very fast (they say, theres an other user interested) or other suspicious things, be cautios!

Let them make pictures with an item of your choice of the colony, to verfiy the existence... But its not a guarentee that you get it...

Its the internet, faith stops here.

You can inform the Store with some information, or if you loose money, speak with the police. Do you have some evidence to clear it up?

"Caveat Emptor"... I should have know better.

I'm not that fussed about the loss for myself as it is a one off, more annoyed at myself and would also like to warn others so they do not suffer the same fate!

The good thing is even if he has used a bogus name...I have his address!!

So will notify / contact a moderator to see if there is a way to warn others.

I think, all users are grateful for these reports like yours. The private market could be very useful as an alternative, but have risks too. Let us know about your results.

I'm sorry if you had a bad experience with the marketplace.
Did you just email contact to him? Is the email maybe in his spam folder and he could not be read it?
Try to contact him by phone or by post.
Perhaps there are only a communication problems.

I wish this was the case as I would like to think the best of people.

The only method of contact was by sending a private message via Antstore. I know he has received my messages and I know that he has since been on your website and still not responded.

As I said before my main concern is that he does not do this to others.

What else can be done to ward off and deal with these unwanted behaviors?
