it could also be Camponotus lateralis or Crematogaster scutellaris

That is Crematogaster scutellaris. Probably the most common ant in Croatia.
Camponotus lateralis looks very much alike since they mimic Crematogaster scutellaris very good but the petiole is completley different in both species since one is a Myrmicinae and one is a Formicinae.

Very easy to keep and in founding.

Thank you everyone! I think my friend is gonna be happy! :) Thank you once again,i can't believe i didn't recognize this is a Crematogaster,i know how their workers look and i can easily recognize them,but i've never seen a queen! Thank you ! :)

Don´t Crematogaster scutellaris live where you live?
In Croatia for example you can´t possibly miss Crematogaster scutellaris queens, they are really everywhere and there is a awful lot of them.
The swarming is also surprisingly late. I guess they really do swarm all year long in some regions?

By the way when I think about it, it also is possible that this is a Crematogaster schmidti. It is really simular to Crematogaster scutellaris but the thorax of Crematogaster schmidti workers is also red (not sure about the queens though). The red color of the workers is the only difference in captivity.

Never saw Crematogaster in Serbia,this one is from Croatia :D,i live in Serbia,i did see them in Montenegro and the coastline warm regions and countries! :)

I have see Crematogaster in Serbia in near of my house in serbia
Paracin. Thats in Sumadija, Central Serbia. There are very awful, i dont can climbing or point a tree!!!?
