I was wondering how i was supposed to moisturise the ant display as i cannot get a tube in their as it is too thin. I was wondering the best alternative i could use.

Try using a long straw - I just bought a pack of them from Morrisons - they're perfect, about half the "width" of the colony area, and more than long enough.
