I caught these queen in late july and left them in a warm place for a week and a half because we went to france :)

when we got back all three queens had around 1O cocoons and larvea no food was fed to them before!! Oh and they were in test tubes with a water resevoir. And were in there for another week and half before france :D

july O9
Than the workers came pouring out through the rest of the summer and they had fresh honey every day and that meant the queen was laying eggs all the time so they manedged to get two healthy batches of eggs hatched by the end of the summer 8) !!

3rd november O9
now in hibernation in a massive y-tong setup they are about 25-3O workers!!!yay. Me and my friend to day nocked together three y-tong nests all attached by tubes!!!

will try to get pics

if someone could help me and tell me how to resize the pics i can produce almost hi defenition pics so please give some idears

Hi Lewis
Great work! I've got a question to your plastic box: at the lid of the box, there are some slots. The ants could escape!¨

Best regards
