Its been a while since i updated this topic. I keep so many species that it is really hard to keep all the topics up to date.
Well, this colony is doing very well. The colony is huge. (don't know how many workers but a lot
)
This summer they produced a lot of males and queens. Most males are dead now and some queens to, the queens that are still alive are helping the workers.
The colony is already preparing a bit for hibernation. The don't have much brood left and the queens (this colony came with 2 queens and i think they are still both alive, they are in a sand nest so i'm not sure, i don't see the queens but i suppose they are fine, i know it is a rare case for this species to have 2 queens but when they where still in tubes it worked out just fine with the 2 queens.) stopped laying eggs. So in a few weeks (half November i think) i will let them go into hibernation.
If you like to see some pictures (i know i need to update those to
) you can go
