Hi Guys,
ive been looking for details for Camponotus substitutus but cant seem to find any anywhere?? Any ideas why that is?? and if any1 has any info it would be much appreciated.

Camponotus substitutus are a good choice for you i think. I keep them myself also.

They are rather easy and they grow fast (colony i mean) these are also very nice ants and big. Nice soldiers.

They come from Latin America so they need a temp. of 25-35°c (30°c would be perfect ) and a humidity from about 60%. They love insects and honey (ore sugar/water). They don't hibernate (exotic). Heat mat ore heat lamp is a must for these ants. Also y-tong nest would do perfect, don't keep it to moist just a bit, they don't like it to moist.
