JimmyVe: Humidity control. (23. Mär 2007 18:06)

Hello, I'm looking for a device to control the humidity in my farm. I was thinking something like this

http://www.antstore.net/shop/product_info.php/products_id/980/cPath/44/irrigation---moisturisation/Super-Fog---humidifier

or this

http://www.antstore.net/shop/product_info.php/products_id/76/cPath/44/irrigation---moisturisation/mini-mist-blower-36-W

What do you suggest ? And what do i need for it to work perfect ?

Thanks

Personally i have the somewhat cheaper version:a lid and a watering can.
They dont exactly get a fog machine in wildlife.I just pour one cup of water in a week and spray a bit each day.For my acromyrmex it comes to exact 80%.
Thats my tip.

...They dont exactly get a fog machine in wildlife...

:hehe: :D  Hahahaha... of course not, nature doesn't need a fog machine to make fog. LOL

@willi461: That is true. ;) Seem not such a bad idea, do you have a picture from you farm ?

willi461: (24. Mär 2007 12:52)

erm well....
i dont have my Acromyrmes in a farm no...in a aquarium but if i make a foto with my digicam it wont fit in here, says to big by like...200kb or something. If you can help out that's cool.
But anyway yes i dont buy expensive stuff like fog machines and so forth you see animals dont get a steak on a plate, no wildlife is tough. So if u just pour in water, its no differrent than a rainstorm. But of course dont pour in so much that the whole place is flooded. If a cave breaks in they'll build it right back up.Btw which kind of ant are u gonna buy maybe we can help out more if we know which kind it'll be.

You can adjust your picture easily. Ore you can use this page http://imageshack.us/ to convert your pictures.

You have a point there, but i think you keep them in a sand nest no ? I keep them in a Y-tong nest. Keeping the nest moist is not a problem i would like to keep the 'outworld' moist to (if you know what i mean). I rater don't spend money on it ;) so if your setup works it is fine for me to. ;)
Thanks for helping me out (be the way) ;)
