heya, for all those Tolkien Fans out there.....

I just read in Total Film magazine that j.r Tolkien's 'Hobbit' has been given the Go ahead, after years of fighting to get hold of the rights to the book and film, peter jackson is producing the film (phew) but no-one knows who the director will be, peter jackson has recommended Del Toro.

The book will be split into two part films as the book is 400 + pages long
its slated for production in 2009, and due for release in 2010 and then the sequel in 2011.

I personally can not wait for this

i love and adore Tolkiens Works.

I jope Jackson can bring the 'Hobbit' To life the same as he did with L.O.T.R

Just so u know guys Toro is Directing :) and his directing list is quite impressive with films like Hellboy and blade 2.. Should be good stuff :D

i didnt like Hellboy at all, i thought it was Awful, but i loved Del toro's ' Pans Labrynth' one of my favourite films. :D

I don't know this book but i liked L.O.T.R. (movies) so if this one comes out i'm differently going to see it. ;)
