wow, very interesting, looking forward to seeing them.
I was talking to a guy who keeps them in hives where you can see them all working, i had a good look, and the queen looks just like the workers, except she just had a little white dot on her abdomen.

are u gonna start a ''bee store'' now lol, or a ''honey farm'' or somthing lol. dont worry just messing, i'm not fond of bees just fault i would ask.....lol but why bees if i may ask??? i'm gonna stick with ants i hate buzzing things like them.....befor i got stung twice lol.....well so much for bees having only 1 sting lol, i had a massive swollen brused foot for bout 2 weeks lol now since that i hate bees lol :thumright:

Bees are great. I would have them if they wouldn´t be such horrible stingers. :? A friend of mine once kept bumble bees. The whole colony grew to a nice size. I can tell you for sure that thir honey tastes way better than the one from bees. :wink:

I also know some1 who keeps bees.. but they do not observe them.. just keep them for the honey.. Good luck :)

Hello Ant dude , theres no one reason for me wanting to keep them as there are a few . The main thou are they are easy to breed and there is allot more interaction with the colony and the development stages are interesting .They are also quick growing .Eggs take 3 days to hatch and the whole growth stages take about 20 days for workers , 16-17 for queens and 24 for drones, :D. I like the fact that honey bees travel upto 5 miles to fetch nectar and pollen and they always return back to the hive . Its just a sense of pride they can come back and forth. And after all this i have the oppertunity to harvest honey if i wanted .
