I was wondering what you do whit your colonies if you go on a holiday ?
Who feeds them and take care of them ? Ore how do you do it...

In my case my mom give them food, honey and water. But she do not clean the out world, that is my job if i come back from holiday. ;)

Hehe....and i dont go often in holidays. Maybe only for a weekend. And for that i give them some extra honey, proteins and water :)

This summer was Skippy my ant aupair, because I was scary to leave them home, my brother with mum coud feed them, but Skippy have experience.... :-P THANKS TO SKIPPY

i have been on holiday for two weeks this summer and all of my colonies survived fine all i do is give them plenty of food e.g. honey water to feed of a i use a form tubing so that they have a lot of honey water at there disposal and i give them a large spider each before i go so that the brood will be alright but usually ants can survive that long without food as long as they have water.

I was of home one month this summer, and Skippy was good choice for me, but some ants wasn´t feeded good, but Skippy didn´t have so much time to control them all....

Hmm....should go the far way to give my ants to skippy when i want to go on long holiday. Seems to be an real good ant keeper ;)
