question ares these any good for keeping crickets in or a waste of money?
http://globallivefood.com/shop/product.php?productid=16208
i would not use one of them if i were u. so yes in my opion they are a waste of money because they have very little ventlation and mould and mite can be found very quickly.
but u could cut a hole it the side and glue some mesh in its place and then it could work. :?
hope this helps
crap ill have to find something else :(
yer that would be better even just a plastic tub would be better but that depends on what type of crickets you have.
only a couple of brown ones at the moment they will be dead soon but im planning to get micro brown crickets but mites seem to love them :(
yer mite are always a problem when they are small idk y tho i keep the conditions the same but they still appear :?
if you have brown crickets make sure the sides of the tubs are tall because they can jump high but a simple net will stop that.
or i might get black ones i haven't tried them yet
black ones r alot slower and cant jump as much as brown crickets but fight each other alot more over ground and there chirp is very loud, but they do have alot of protian in them.
if you want ones that r quite dont mind how many there are and not to slow but not too fast i would go for slient crickets and i find them easyer to breed than the others.
i use a 60litre tub and put water plant covering over top with a band and use silent black crickets and they seem fine they not fighting or anything and like to chirp alot. they are pretty loud thoe
idk how big of thing i keep mine in i just use this http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/0176570/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CHome+and+furniture%7C10197552/c_2/2%7Ccat_10197552%7CStorage%7C10197771/c_3/3%7Ccat_10197771%7CStorage+units+with+drawers%7C10197794.htm with mesh in the front and back,
btw were they adults and if so how many males did u have?
