You completly misunderstood me... but that doesn´t matter. I didn´t expect you to understand me anyway. And what you wrote... it´s just completly off... but that doesn´t matter too. We all know that you are young and I don´t mean that as an insult. One day you´ll see that "geeks" as you call them drive Ferraries and mingle with top models and high school hotshots work 9-5 and drive Polo. :P
lol mpir i must admit.. i'm still in contact with a lot of my old friends from school.. and some of the ones who was all hip n cool or whateva u wanna call it... all now have dead end jobs drivin little crappy cars.. or not driving at all lol.. and the ones who was so called geeks.. or not really cool have got along really well..
Think this is all gonna turn into an argument !! Ants are cool and its up to everyone to keep them how they like and tell who they like . Can we please go back to the forum discussion of keeping ants lol lol
It's like Jesus said - 'the geek shall inherit the earth'...
I think this all comes down to a slight difference in the use of the word geek. Some people use it to refer to people who are not connected to the real world. And others use it to refer to people who have particular specialist knowledge or who get good grades.
What about Larry Page, Sergey Brin, Richard Branson? Geeks? Cool? Both?
Basically variety is the spice of life. Most people I meet (not online) have never talked to anyone who knows as much as I do about ants, but then I'm interested in a lot of other things too (current affairs, classical literature, biology, evolutionary theory, football, community action, pool and snooker, hockey, the internet etc, computer games, political theory, philosophy, religions, fishkeeping, gardening, cooking, economics.), I score a lot of goals at the weekend (even now at 30!), I also have an active social life, and when I want to I can turn it on with the ladies (there is less demand for that these days - being attached and all) - I even work in the supposedly 'cool' marketing industry and I have my own company.
Having said all that, I'm definitely a lot of a geek, in that within my specialist areas my knowledge is fairly technical. Would someone who met me in the pub know that if I didn't tell them? Probably not. I'd rather be able to play both roles, when necessary, than be limited to one.
I know this is off-topic, but so what? It's a forum for discussion.
Jesus didn't really say that btw. Typo!
everyone lets get more on-topic please as this is getting boring. i mean talking about who are geeks an who are not etc :!:
know this is off-topic, but so what? It's a forum for discussion.

This thread is now closed :!:
