I think this is a topic that was discussed before on the German forum but I'd also like to hear what you (english speaking) guys think.
I really miss a good computer game where you could run ant world. So if you have any good ideas how it should look like post something here and if some game developing people might venture to this forum our wishes might be realized. :wink:
My wish for ant game would be something like Dune 2 or C&C for younger generation. You would start just with the queen and a little amount of "proteins". Proteins would be used like money in previously mentioned games. It would be used to make new workers. Majors = more proteins. Of course ants would then go search and bring home some dead bugs so colony could expand. There would be different species all with different qualities (faster production of new workers; biger or stronger workers; less proteins for new worker; ...). You would have different typs of ants and you would have to invest in "nurs ants" to speed up the production of new workers, "builder ants" to make more room for new workers, "harvester ants" to gather food for the colony, "solder ants" to protect the nest and to attack other ants. I guess it would be like a mix of sim city, warcraft and some manager game. And a way to win would be in finding the right balance.

I have a think about a sort of this game too. I had thought about it some monts after... But give this topic to the forum is good idea. I think, this game can be a good strategy, too...
I've thought of a game like that too. It would be so cool to choose between different species and such to play with. Every sort of ant would have advantages. Like the Attas would lay eggs really fast and the L. Nigers would be excellent spies. Imagine the game in multiplayer! So fun!
;) That would be fun in deed, now we only need to find someone who can make such a game.

oh my i am truly addicted to the online game final fantasy, for 3 years i have played this game, i need a distraction, yeah someone make this game and save me....... it would be soo cool to combine my love of ants with a game like this..... [-o<
