i finally had my Ants Myrmica rubra and all the sand loam etc and i was wondering how much i spray i just sprayed continuasly for 1 minute would this suffice and sprayed the cork on the ytong nest . do i need to get fair bit water in about 1inch is showing wet from surfice so far been about hour also the ptfe i just smeared it on like inch wide some ran down but i guess this is not problem does it have to be perfect or just splodge it on the way i have it ok there is no gaps its just not neat and perfect looking on the lines

As long as the PTFE covers everything it should work just fine.
These ants like it well moist. So keep the sand/loam moist enough but not wet. You have to try it out a bit.

its better to put the crickets in boiling water for a few second before giving them to ants to stop your ants getting invaded by mites

Or bacteria. Small crickets don't harm your ants, but large one can.
