SirJet: Sealing tubes to the ant farm (28. Jul 2008 17:02)

Do I need to use any kind of glue or silicon seal where the tub connects to the farm and basin? Or is the fit good enough?

If yes, what do people recommend?

Thanks

If you are using connectors to fasten the tubes (http://www.antstore.net/shop/index.php/cat/c123_tube-fitting.html), you don't need anything else. If you are not going to use connectors it is a good idea to seal it with a silicon sealent (http://www.antstore.net/shop/index.php/cat/c70_stick-and-seal.html).

I use Cotton wool, as plastic tubing tends to degrade after all while, so its easier to replace

Thats a good idea! Thanks!
