Sphecomyrmex: Cataglyphis niger's queen (10. Jun 2008 08:34)

Hi all,
I've found a dealate Cataglyphis niger's queen, but i don't know how to keep its...I'm sure it's Cataglyphis...What about hair umidity and temperature? About feeding?

Can i put its in a test tube with water? Than can i put the colony in a plaster nest?

Thanks

Nice :) Catagylphis are one of my favorite!

It should be fine in a test tube to start off with, as you found it in your local area, just follow the enviroment you found it in :)

I dont recomend plaster nests for any species personally

OK thanks

Do i must put water in the test-tube, or do i must leave dry?
