i have 2 conelys of lasius niger ants 1 at home other a got for school for science. It was wensday yesterday so i went to science the teacher showed my class the queen and the few workers but the strange thing is the queen or workers have moved all the cacoons to one side of the tube and the eggs and larve to another since this was his first conely he thought this was normall but is it?

Yes its completly normal :) Cocoons dont need any care, eggs need very little, where as Larvae need lots of care, so it makes sense to keep them seperate

Often they will be moved about the nest depending on the tempreture and humidity in diffrent sections to

I would say that it is pretty normal. Eggs and larva need more moist and cocoons don't. Quite oposite, they need more dry and warm surroundings. This is why in nature you usually find the cocoons close to the top of the nest.
