Today I found the Pheidole p allidula queen out from the test tube. She has a broken legs, and move in a difficult way, I found one of the three workers death....I don't know what to do, I give them last week a big mosquito death and they keep it in their nest, now I've put another test tube maybe are looking for a better nest...
what I can do?
Yesterday I smoke in my room but with the window open..can it be a problem???
if the food and nest is all right, then it must be the smoke.
The test when arrived from antstore the last week wasn't so good, the cotton was like green and yellow coloured..I show you a pic so you can see if there are some problems...Can I do something or I surely lose them?
hmm, that looks they have took sand in test tube which is normal.also the yellow stuff can be their poo.
the two workers remained are in the test tube uncovered, I took off the old insect maybe weren't so good..
Now the queen is on a wall of the basin where I've sprayed some water and she's drinking...
Hope she will be okay.
If there was not a lot of smoke it should not be any problem. Sometimes it just happens and you can't do anything about it.
Now the queen is stilla alive and the two workers in the old test tube, and when were near the queen didn't seemed interestered about the queen..
if I'll take the queen and the workers and moving them in a new test tube and I'll close them in, is it a bad idea??Can it be too much stressfull??
I would give them a fresh test tube, cover it with foil, and let them move by themselves
hope they are ok!
Yes i would do the same. Good luck with them.
today I sprayed a corner of the basin and made two hole, and after a worker came in it, the queen follow him inside..the other one remain in the old test tube..I hope that it can be a good thing...
