ive been looking at alot of posts lately and a few of them are saying that the ants arent moving out of the test tube so i figured when i get mine i will just simpsly poor them in i know alot of people say this is not good for them but is it really as bad as every 1 says it is??????????

It does depends on which species but shouldnt really harm them but worse of it is you might lose eggs or larvae maybe cocoons as sometimes they dont get out ;)

there are ways to force them out, but I think that should only be done in an emergancy, eg infection or infestation


Please dont just pour them!! they will have just been thru the postal system, and would have had more than enough stress to deal with, without that!! let them settle down for a few days, then attach it to your farm or basin, whatever you are using, and check out my tips in the caresheet
