The search function is really a cool function ;)

1. How many you NEED? You need only a queen ^^ But then you have to be patient for a colony. So the best is you order a colony
2. In the future yes. But until the farm is to small you have to wait some time ;)
3. How much: depends on the size of the colony but Lasius niger dont need much at the beginning (is only a little ant)
What: some honey or marple sirup, water, and proteins (insects, spiders and stuff like that)
4. I spray 1 or 2 times a day the arena water in the Arena
5. You need a place with 4-8°C, humidity have to be the same like in the normal time. Ants clean up by their own. And in hibernation they dont need food.
6. Yes the workers dig tunnels ans chambers for the queen
7. Hmm dont know. I believe at the moment not ^^

Hello flanimal and welcome to the forum.

I think its nice you would like to keep ants, but maybe you need to learn a bit more about them before you start keeping them. Read a bit on the forum. And don't be afraid to use the search engine. ;)
