Hi

I have for years wanted a proper ant farm and well now I have the means and cause to get one....

I have had some of those kids ones before and actually there was one called ant world which was brill but I am now upgrading and wanted to know what you guys thought.

Firstly....

Farm going for the glass XL - ant display 40x6x30 cm

Ant - Lassius ??? dont know which one, i have had niger before but was thinking I may get another type...

Soil - Loam but how much for the size of tank im thinking

Hibernation - should I hibernate the queen as soon as she gets here? London still has a fair bit of warm weather to come and was thinking would hibernate her late October to March...

Extras... does the farm come with lids and plugs or will i need to get these too...

Delivery - Is the kit really heavy and would i be able to move the unassembled farm on the tube?

So excited order will go in next weds (payday)

hope its useful :) if ur gonna get a lasius colony, might aswell be lasius niger, theres not allot of diffrence between them that can be distiguished by an unexperienced keeper
