hi all
my L asius niger colony is currently in a 9 gallon tank 3 quarters full of sand and at the moment i am having lots of problems keeping it moist as i give it a good amount of water but it drys out within a day or two does anyone have any ideas

Hi tries it, nevertheless, simply sometimes with sound granulate material you under the Subtrat gives this becomes saturated with the water and stores the dampness. Then maybe I would also recommend a straw construction by you the water to the lower sound granulate material allows to run.

I think there is a discussion somewhere for this, try to look it up.

If i remember wright, the best way was to put a tube down to the bottom of the tank and fill that tube with water so the water is underneath the ants (like in nature).
