Hi R3dfox!

I don´t know ,you can ,but cotton wool will long time later yellow color. Maybe it will growing mould on it ,when it will be damp
(sorry my english is bad)

Hey,

i think that the wool will mold sooner or later. I would prefer to use granulate.

Greetings
Simon

Yes ,it is right too

Keep up the good work!

in deed R3dFox, i think you better 'not' use cotton. It will mold and that is not a good think for your ants. If you don't have clay you can always use small stones (very small stones ;) )

Yes cotton is a no go.I had my acromyrmex in a testtube for 3 weeks(they didnt wanna come out)and after a while it got all yellow and"weird"

in deed but in a tube i also use cotton, but this is because it is the easiest way and it is only a temporary nest.
