Hi is there any food I can give them that gives them protien for the laver but not insects please help

Hello jimimardlin, your going to have to try experimenting with protein sources like the rest of us.
Ants can be very fussy and their food tastes vary from one colony to the next

You can try cooked meats like Fish, chicken and red meat. Wet dog/cat food, gold fish flakes, Peanut butter,small drop of protein shake(for weight lifters etc).
Maybe drops of milk combined with honey or boiled eggs and cooked sliced ham.
Some ants also consume small seeds which are packed with energy for the workers and protein for the larvae.

Remember that Insect protein is Ideal for ants because its their natural food source.

Get creative and offer your ants plenty of food selection, you'll eventually find something that they enjoy.

Thank you I will try differnt foods but I will have to wate next year for the nuptial flight
