Steph17: Temnothorax crassispinus won't eat sugary food (22. Jul 2014 09:53)

Hello, I own a small colony of Temnothorax c rassispinus for a week now and I noticed that the workers only eat fruitflies and don't seem to care about the sugary foods such as sugar water or honey. The colony has a lot of larvea, has this something to do whith it ? Or am I doing something wrong ?

The workers do not really need much food. You won't see it.

They eat almost nothing ! Somtimes I see them drink honey though.
